'Samividhan Divas' or Constitution Day is celebrated on 26 November every year.
Constitution Day is also known as "National Law Day".
As we know that the Indian Constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949 and that is the reason why we celebrate 26 November every year as Constitution Day.

    Background

    The foundation stone of the B. R. Ambedkar's Statue of Equality memorial (Mumbai) was laid by the prime minister of India Narendra Modi on 11 October 2015.
    On the occasion, the Prime Minister declared 26 November to be celebrated as the constitution Day.
    On 19 November 2015, the Government of India officially declared 26 November as Constitution Day.

    The Indian Constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949.
    The Constitution of India came into effect and 26 January 1950.

    Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was born on 14 April 1891 and passed away on 6 December 1956.
